- Senior soldier Roman Dushenko was killed in action on June 28, 2022, in Luhansk Oblast during an artillery shelling. The man received an explosive injury and fatal shrapnel wounds. Roman was born in Ivano-Frankivsk. He graduated from the local school No. 6, higher art vocational school No. 3, and the Ivano-Frankivsk Educational and Scientific Institute of Management of the West Ukrainian National University with a degree in Finance, Banking and Insurance. He worked as a master in a woodworking shop. He was enthusiastic about his job. He made various wooden products by hand. In his free time, the man loved to be in nature, pick mushrooms and rest in the mountains. In 2015, he participated in the ATO. He was repeatedly awarded for his professional performance of military duties. From the beginning of the full-scale war, Roman served in the 382nd guard company in Ivano-Frankivsk, and later joined the 10th separate mountain assault brigade and again went to defend Ukraine. Unfortunately, this time for the last time. Roman was a good husband and father. His family was always his top priority. He was always demanding of himself, responsible, kind, and thrifty. We always had common interests and values. He was a patriot of Ukraine, sincerely believed in our victory, so, despite his health, he went to defend our country, his wife Oksana said. The defender was buried in the cemetery in Opryshivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. The deceased left behind his mother, wife, and two sons: Maxim and Nazar.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
