- Junior Sergeant Roman Holovko (call sign Romakha) was killed on October 4, 2022 while performing a combat mission in the Kherson region. Near the village of Chervone, the 38-year-old defender sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy tank shelling. Roman was born in Vynohradiv, Zakarpattia. He obtained incomplete higher education at the Mukachevo Technological Institute. He worked as an engineer at a company. He was a good, sensitive and kind person, always ready to help those around him. He was an exemplary employee, a dear son and a loving brother for the whole family. Roman served in the Internal Troops in Zolochiv. In 2014-2016, he fought in the ATO, so he had military experience. With the start of the full-scale war, he immediately went to defend Ukraine. He commanded a platoon of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He spent over 7 months on the front line with his comrades-in-arms. "Roma was a very wise and very good person. His mother was the greatest value in his life. He protected her from everything, always lent a shoulder, loved his brothers Mykhailo and Pasha very much, adored his sisters. Family was always his top priority. He was everything to us... Our pride, our support, our pillar. A brother to whom we could always turn for wise advice," his sister Myroslava said. The defender was buried in his native Vynohradiv, Zakarpattia. Roman is survived by his mother, two brothers and seven sisters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
