Roman M. Khomandiak

Border guard Roman Khomdiak was killed on December 28, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Cherneshchyna in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was 31 years old. Roman was born in Odesa. Since 2000, he has lived with his parents in the village of Klishkivtsi, Chernivtsi region. He graduated from the local secondary school, then the Chernivtsi Transport Vocational College. After his military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he decided to devote his life to the army. He signed a contract with the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. For 9 years he served at the separate checkpoint "Kyiv". He managed to obtain two higher educations: he graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute and the Uman Pedagogical University. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Roman defended Ukraine as part of the Chernivtsi border guard unit. He was a senior sergeant. The defender was buried in the village of Klishkivtsi. Roman is survived by his parents and brother.
