Roman M. Korchovnyi

Born on January 11, 1970, in the city of Kyiv. Graduated from high school in the city of Kyiv. On September 5, 2014, mobilized by the military commissariat of the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a mechanic-driver in the anti-aircraft missile platoon of the 3rd separate tank battalion "Zvyrobiy" of the 169th training guard center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since February 2016, the battalion has been subordinated to the 60th separate mechanized brigade of the 4th army reserve corps of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). From October 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On January 5, 2015, Junior Sergeant Korchovny died of a heart rupture while on duty at a combat post guarding the military town in the village of Kyrylivka, Volodarsky district (since 2016 - Nikolske) of Donetsk region. On January 8, 2015, he was buried at the "Berkovets" City Cemetery in Kyiv.
