- Born on February 15, 1990, in the city of Sumy. In 2007, he graduated from the Oleksandrivska Gymnasium in Sumy, and in 2012 — from the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sumy State University. During his studies at the university, he was a student activist: he organized and participated in scientific, sports, and community events. After completing his studies at the university, he moved to Kyiv. He worked as a financial analyst in the financial planning and control service of the financial department of the "Arterium" corporation. He was passionate about playing rugby. He was one of the founders of rugby in Sumy and its main promoter. He played professionally for the Kyiv rugby club "Bears" while living and working in Kyiv. He also engaged in ballroom dancing. He was an activist of the Ukrainian nationalist movement, a member of the student brotherhood of Sumy region. He was a graduate of the patriotic tent camp "Sich." He was one of the main organizers and responsible for conducting a children's tent-patriotic camp of the Youth Nationalist Congress "Kolovrat" in Sumy region, where in 2012 and 2014, Roman served as the camp's quartermaster. In addition, he was a co-organizer of the terrain game for youth "Revin Yar." He participated in the terrain game "Hurby-Antonivtsi." In the winter of 2013-2014, he was at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, where he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. He was part of the 14th hundred of the Maidan self-defense "Free People." On December 10, 2013, he was detained during a police clearing of barricades in Kryposny Lane, but was soon released. In August 2014, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the 24th battalion of territorial defense "Aidar" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the guard company of the battalion in the city of Shchastia (now Novoaidar district of Luhansk region). In September 2014, he transferred to the 2nd special purpose battalion (reserve battalion) "Donbas" of the Northern Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine. Since the end of 2014, he held the position of a shooter in the 6th company of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces. Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine. He was a participant in the battles at the international airport "Donetsk."
