Roman O. Chubur (Romashka)

Junior Sergeant Roman Chubur (call sign Romashka) was killed on October 12, 2023 in battle with the enemy near the settlement of Keramik in the Donetsk region. On October 21, the defender would have turned 44 years old. Roman was born in the village of Vyry, Sumy region. After finishing school, he obtained the profession of an electrician at the Sumy Vocational and Technical School. He got married. In 2018, he moved with his family to the city of Chernihiv. He worked as a construction worker at the Limited Liability Company VP "Promstroy-1". He devoted his free time to his family and friends. After the full-scale invasion of the occupiers, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to defend the Motherland. He served in the ranks of the 1st separate tank Siverskaya brigade. He held the position of commander of a combat vehicle, squad commander. "Good, sensitive, there are no more such," said the wife of the deceased Alla Shish. The warrior was buried in the Yatsevo cemetery in Chernihiv. Roman Chubur is survived by his parents, wife, son and daughter. Roman Chubur was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
