Roman O. Nahach

Soldier Roman Nahach was killed on January 21, 2024, while performing his official duties near the city of Myrnograd in the Donetsk region as a result of a Russian missile strike. Roman was 43 years old. He was born in the village of Stupakivka, Chernihiv region. He completed 9 grades at Ichnia Secondary School No. 5 and then enrolled in the local vocational school No. 37. For some time, he worked as a driver in the village of Trostyanets, and later moved with his family to Ichnia. He got a job at the Comfort construction materials store. In his free time, he loved fishing. On August 18, 2023, Roman was drafted into military service. He underwent training at the Honcharivskyi military training ground and then joined the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade. In November of the same year, he was wounded and lost an eye, after which he underwent treatment. He spent a month on leave and returned to service. "My husband was calm, very sociable, as his work required him to communicate with people a lot. You could say the whole district knew him. And those who came always wanted Roman to consult them. He knew how to give advice and recommendations. He was selfless and disinterested," said his wife Natalia. The defender was buried in the cemetery in the city of Ichnia. Roman is survived by his wife, son, daughter, mother, and brother.
