Roman O. Shymalo (San, Grizz)

Roman Oleksandrovych Shymalo was born on August 1, 1994, in Lviv. At the time of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was serving in the Special Purpose Unit "Azov," holding the position of senior machine gunner of the 1st platoon of the special purpose 3rd company of the special purpose 1st battalion. He was killed on March 4, 2022, in battles against Russian occupiers during the defense of the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region.
