Roman P. Dimytrov (Pakhan)

27-year-old soldier Roman Dimitrov (call sign Pakhan) was killed on December 1, 2022 near the settlement of Kurdyumivka in the Donetsk region. During a combat clash with the occupiers, he received fatal injuries as a result of a mortar attack. Roman was born in the village of Kuzmivka, Rivne region. He stuwas killed at the Rivne Technical Professional College of NUVGP. He worked as a construction worker. He loved to relax in nature and spend time with friends. On the first day of the full-scale war, on February 24, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a serviceman of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. He took the position of an operator in the motorized rifle company and went to the front line. He took part in the defense of the Mykolaiv, Kherson and Donetsk regions. "Roma was a very cheerful, sincere, kind person. He was the one who even at the front gave everyone a positive attitude. He defended the right to a safe life for every Ukrainian, was a patriot in his heart, fulfilled his duty with honor and remained faithful to the oath and Ukraine," said the deceased's cousin Victoria. The defender was buried in his native village. Roman is survived by his mother, two sisters, brother, relatives and friends.
