- Former head of the Tlumach community Roman Kruhovskyi was killed in action on August 2, 2022, in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. Roman was from the city of Tlumach, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He stuwas killed in action at the local school, then graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. From 2016 to 2022, Roman Kruhovskyi headed the Tlumach City Council. Local residents remember him as a decent and serious person, a competent organizer who took care of the community. "Sincere, always positive and open, a good host and a skilled executive of the Tlumach community. A person who was respected and listened to. Roman had great authority in the community, loved his fellow countrymen, his family and Ukraine. And he gave his life for her. I had the honor of being personally acquainted," wrote deputy Oleksandr Shevchenko. With the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Roman Kruhovskyi decided to defend the Motherland and on February 27, he joined the protection company. And on May 10, he was taken to the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, as part of which he went to the front lines in Donetsk region. "No one could save you, you left this life very early, but your dear, gentle image will stay with us forever. And for us, everything was just beginning," wrote the warrior's wife Iryna Kruhovska. "There are people with whom I am ready to change the world. My friend Roman Kruhovskyi is one of them. I still can't write 'was'. Forgive me, I apologize. Forgive me, Romah, for not saving you... May the earth be soft for you. May heaven be paradise for you...", wrote People's Deputy Ihor Fris. "He supported in difficult moments, was an open person with whom you could consult, talk. He had plans to move further into the city, district leadership to raise Ukraine to a higher level," a fellow soldier of Roman told journalists at the farewell ceremony.
