Roman R. Klimov (Shtyk)

Since the age of 18, I have been engaged in sport shooting, holding a sniper diploma. Before the war, I participated in numerous shooting competitions, winning five prize-winning rifles. I worked as a turner at the Mykolaiv Machine-Building Plant, later transferring to the Mykolaiv Armored Plant. I was passionate about running, even in the ATO zone, when my brigade was stationed near Volnovakha, I ran along the forest belts for 10 km. I was mobilized in June 2014 and immediately signed a contract until the end of the special period. I was assigned to the position of a sniper in the 3rd Battalion of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, but in fact, I served as part of a APC crew. Later, I was transferred to the 1st Battalion. I participated in the brigade's battles in the Volnovakha area, from October 2016 I fought in the Avdiivka industrial zone, was wounded, and after treatment, returned to the front.
