- Soldier Roman Parakikevych (call sign Yunitsa) was killed on September 28, 2023, from mine and shrapnel wounds. The 27-year-old defender fought his last battle near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Roman was born in the city of Drohobych in the Lviv region. He graduated from secondary school No. 10, then from vocational school No. 15, where he obtained the specialty of car mechanic. He worked at an automobile crane factory. Roman joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 24, 2023. He defended the Motherland as part of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade, serving as a rifleman-sniper in the 2nd Airmobile Platoon of the 1st Airmobile Company of the 1st Airmobile Battalion. "He was brave and courageous. He never said it was hard for him. He always supported us and assured that everything would be fine. Hardworking, determined - a true Hero for me and my parents!" - wrote the sister of the fallen Zoryana. The defender was buried in the village of Dolishniy Luzhok in the Lviv region. Roman is survived by his parents, sister, and grandmother. Soldier Roman Parakikevych was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
