- Fighter Roman Pulyk (call sign Yarema) was killed on August 30, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Sukhy Stavok in the Kherson region. The defender was 28 years old. Roman was born in the village of Nebyliv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. He received a secondary education. He gladly performed various types of work, never shying away from anything and was skilled at many things. He worked as a locksmith in the Kyiv region, later began traveling abroad—he found a job as a welder in the Czech Republic. He was married and raised two daughters, to whom he tried to dedicate all his free time. He worked hard to provide for his family. was killed When the full-scale war began, he could not stay at home and immediately went to the military enlistment office. He initially joined the Territorial Defense Forces and later ended up in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after the Cossack Ataman Kosty Hordiienko. He underwent training and took the position of grenade launcher. He participated in battles for Luhansk. He managed to come home twice for rotation. The Pulyk couple was expecting their third child, who was due to be born in the fall of 2022. However, at the end of summer, Roman was killed. "My husband was a strong, brave, courageous, and intelligent person. He was fair. He could not bear to watch the peaceful people being destroyed, so he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to reclaim our territories. He radiated great love for his girls and loved his family unconditionally. He wanted to return Ukraine to its borders and see it prosper without lies, corruption, and violence," said the warrior's wife, Natalia. Roman was buried in his native village.
