- 40-year-old Sergeant Roman Obruchev was killed on October 7, 2022 in the battle for the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. A group of Ukrainian defenders, including Roman, went to help their comrades, but their "Hummer" was hit by an enemy missile. Roman was born and lived in the city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from secondary school No. 9. Then he obtained the profession of a manual electric welder at the Pavlohrad Vocational and Technical School No. 3. From 2003, he worked as a locomotive driver at the Heroes of Cosmos mine of DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia PJSC. In 2015, he participated in the ATO in Donbas. In his free time, he was engaged in sports and agronomy - he grew strawberries. He loved to relax with friends and family in nature. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Roman went to defend the Motherland. He joined the ranks of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". He carried out combat missions in various directions. "A beloved, kind, caring husband and father. He loved life very much, valued his loved ones and respected his friends. He loved and cared for his family, adored his daughters. He was always positive, joked. This is the person who loved and wanted to live, had many plans that never came true. We are proud of you, You are our HERO, we miss you very much," the widow of the fallen said. The warrior was buried in his hometown. Roman is survived by his wife Oksana, daughters Victoria and Kateryna.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
