- 32-year-old soldier Roman Tsymbal (call sign Ramses) was killed on June 25, 2023 near the settlement of Novodonets'ke in the Donetsk region. He saved a comrade, then suffered a fatal wound during enemy artillery shelling. Roman lived in Kakhovka, Kherson region. He obtained the profession of plasterer-tiler and painter at the Genichesk vocational school. For 10 years he worked as an operator at the Kakhovka plant "Opentek". In his free time, he loved to fish. He was married and raised the daughter of his beloved as his own. He loved his family very much and always tried to give them the best. During the full-scale war, the man moved with his family to the Vinnytsia region. In early January 2023, the couple had a son, and a few weeks later the man received a summons. He firmly decided to defend Ukraine from the occupiers. He underwent training abroad. After returning, he joined the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 37th separate brigade of the marine corps. He was the commander of a combat vehicle - the commander of an assault landing squad. At first, he defended the southern regions, then went east, where he soon was killed. "Roman was a caring and always joyful dad! The most wonderful and best man. There are no such people. He gave me wings! With him I wanted everything! Why is this, I don't understand. He easily found a common language with everyone. Always positive, he had a lot of plans for life. He was an extraordinary friend and a devoted son to his parents, a mentor and support for his brothers," said the widow of the deceased Yulia. The marine was buried in the village of Sloboda-Mezhyrivska in the Vinnytsia region. Roman is survived by his parents, four brothers, a sister, a wife, a daughter and a son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
