- 24-year-old soldier Roman Buchko (call sign Falcon) was killed on May 11, 2023 in a battle for the city of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior received a fatal shrapnel gunshot wound during an enemy mortar and artillery bombardment. Roman was from the village of Tsuman in the Volyn region. He graduated from the Klevan Vocational Lyceum and obtained the specialty of agricultural tractor driver. He got married and moved to the Rivne region, to the village of Kryvychi. He worked as a plasterer. His last workplace was an oil factory. He was passionate about cars. In March 2023, the man signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training in Ukraine and the United Kingdom, and then was assigned to the separate presidential brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. He was a rifleman-medic. "He could not stand aside and went to defend his country. Despite the fact that he has a little son Artemko. He had a lot of plans for the future. He was our support, the best dad and husband. I cannot come to terms with the fact that he is no longer there. Every second of mine is a thought about my husband, the best memories that will remain forever in my heart. In my memories, thoughts, and memory, he is alive forever. I miss him very much. I still hope that he will return to us..." shared the wife of the fallen Viktoria. Roman was buried in his native village of Tsuman. At home, Roman was awaited by his parents, sister, wife and son.
