Biography
Babich Roman Vasilievich was born on February 1, 1985 in the village of Voronizh, Shostka district, Sumy region. In 2008, he obtained a higher medical education at the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University. His specialty is a general practitioner. He studied at the military department and received the rank of junior lieutenant. After his studies, he worked in life insurance, holding the position of director of the insurance company department. In 2011, he moved to the city of Boyarka, Kyiv region. At the beginning of 2014, during the annexation of Crimea, he tried to join the army as a volunteer, but was refused. In September of the same year, he was mobilized, went to the ATO zone, and took the position of head of the medical station. He evacuated wounded and killed soldiers from the Donetsk airport, settlements of Avdiivka, Pisky, Vodiane, Opytne, Tonenkе, from the support points of the Butivka mine, the Zenith radar station. He was demobilized in September 2015. After demobilization, he returned to his previous job, additionally provided instruction and trained military and civilians in providing first aid and pre-medical care in various conditions. In July 2015, he was awarded the Order of the People's Hero of Ukraine. On March 27, 2022, he was called up for medical service. He died on January 25, 2023 in Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The deceased warrior was buried on January 29, 2023 in the St. Nicholas Church in Boyarka, Kyiv region.Military service
