Roman V. Bespalyi

Killed in action on October 14, 2019, while in captivity, which he fell into on May 22 near the village of Novotroitske in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. That day, the driver of the vehicle transporting sergeants with important documents to the headquarters deviated from the route, mistakenly turned towards the enemy, entered the occupied territory, and the servicemen were detained at the "Olenivka" checkpoint by militants. There was no communication with them for six months. On November 12, Roman's body was handed over to the Ukrainian side.
