- Sniper Roman Chemchuk (call sign Ron) died on February 25, 2023 in a hospital in Dnipro. On February 22, during the performance of a combat mission near the city of Marinka in the Donetsk region, he came under enemy fire and received serious injuries. The defender was 36 years old. Roman was born in the village of Berehhy, Rivne region. He graduated from a rural school. Then he obtained the profession of a meat product molder at a vocational school. He worked at a private enterprise. He loved fishing, hunting and animals, especially dogs. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 79th separate air assault brigade. He fought in the Donetsk region. "Roman was a very kind son and brother, hardworking, cheerful. He was always ready to help, could support and give good advice. When he did something, he did it as best he could. He loved spinning fishing very much, adored dogs. In memory of him, a dog - a German shepherd named Jack - remained. We really miss Roma. Pain, sadness, tears and gratitude for the feat he made for us and our Ukraine! Forever in our hearts. You are our Hero, Ron," said the sister of the fallen Tetyana Bondaruk. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, he was awaited by his mother Olga Mykolaivna, father Viktor Demyanovych, grandmother Valentyna Pavlivna, brothers Oleksandr, Mykhailo and Dmytro, and sisters Tetyana and Valentyna.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
