- Born on March 1, 1974, in the village of Stadnytsia, Tetiiv district, Kyiv region. In 1991, he graduated from the secondary school of the village of Stadnytsia. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since 1995, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: first in the city of Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region, then in the city of Rava-Ruska, Zhovkva district, Lviv region. After being discharged to the reserve, he worked as an electrician at a distillery, and since 2012, he has been employed at the agricultural company "Dibrivka Agrosrvices" in the village of Dibrivka, Tetiiv district, Kyiv region. In August 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the deputy commander of a combat vehicle - a gunner-operator of the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was involved in the battles for the city of Debaltseve, Donetsk region. On March 4, 2015, soldier Horbenko was killed during the rotation of personnel as a result of the shelling of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) at the platoon stronghold Pavlo-30 in the area of the urban-type settlement of Luhanske, Artemivsk (now Bakhmut) district, Donetsk region. He was identified among the deceased servicemen through DNA testing. On May 6, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Stadnytsia, Tetiiv district, Kyiv region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
