Roman V. Merdukh

Roman Vasylovych Merdush was born on April 4, 1994, in the city of Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region. After graduating with honors from Kalush School-Lyceum No. 10, he enrolled in Lviv National Forestry University. Upon obtaining his higher education, he worked as a systems administrator in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Two months before the start of the war, Roman was employed by "Karpatnaftohim". With the onset of the large-scale military invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Roman Merdush was mobilized and sent to a training center. After a short stay at the training center, he was sent to the frontlines on March 2, 2022 - to the Kharkiv region. He was killed on March 25, 2022, by a sniper's bullet near the city of Kharkiv. The solemn farewell to Roman Merdush took place in his native Kalush on April 8, 2022. He was buried on the Alley of Glory at the city cemetery in Kalush.
