Roman V. Ohorodnik (Romeo)

Horticulturist Roman Valeriiovych was born in the urban-type settlement of Trostianets, Vinnytsia Oblast. He graduated from Ternopil National Economic University with a degree in "Finance and Credit", the military department of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, and received the primary officer rank of junior lieutenant. In 2015-2020, he worked as a logistics specialist at PJSC "Mironivsky Hliboproduct", and since 2020 - as an acting senior specialist in production and sales coordination at the MHP central office in Kyiv. He was a basketball player. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was the commander of the 2nd mortar platoon of the 2nd mortar battery of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 30th separate mechanized brigade. He was killed on October 1, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Odradivka in Donetsk Oblast. He was buried in his hometown. He is survived by his wife and parents.
