- Paratrooper Roman Osadchyi (call sign 48) was killed on November 5, 2023, while defending against occupiers in the city of Mariinka, Donetsk region. As a result of an attack by an enemy UAV, he received fatal injuries. The warrior was only 27 years old. Roman was born in Donetsk. However, he lived in the Vinnytsia region. He graduated from Vinnytsia Higher Vocational School No. 5 and mastered the profession of a painter. He engaged in various agricultural works. Recently, he worked in Kyiv, where he was engaged in door installation. He was fond of cars, loved to listen to music, and play football. In April 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He held the position of senior operator of the anti-tank missile systems platoon of the fire support company of the airmobile battalion. He fought on the eastern front. Comrades-in-arms gave him the call sign 48 because he had that shoe size. The hero was buried in the village of Skomoroshky in the Vinnytsia region, where he lived with his family. Roman is survived by his mother, wife, two daughters, son, and four brothers. Posthumously, Soldier Roman Osadchyi was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
