Biography
Roman Vasilievich Solonynka was born on April 8, 1980, in a military family. He was a renowned Ukrainian photographer. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he went to the military enlistment office in Kyiv on February 25, 2022, and was assigned to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He died on May 5, 2022, during a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian military. He did not have time to change positions with his comrades-in-arms and died as a result of a hit by enemy shrapnel. The farewell ceremony for the fallen military artilleryman Roman Solonynka took place on May 9, 2022. The deceased was buried at the Smolyansky Military Cemetery in Zhytomyr. For personal courage and heroism displayed in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Roman Vasilievich Solonynka was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Burial place
