- Roman Solovyanchuk (call sign Fred), a serviceman, was killed on April 2, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Novosilske in the Luhansk region. The defender was 41 years old. Roman was born and lived in the village of Kalinivka, Kharkiv region. He studied at the local school. Then he graduated from Kehychiv Vocational School No. 60, obtaining the specialty of tractor driver and mechanic. He worked at the AF "Sady Ukrainy", at the enterprise "Kruporyshka" and for a private entrepreneur. Disassembling the engine of any tractor, car, or combine harvester, overhauling and washing every part, assembling everything and making the engine work like a clock - these were his main hobbies. There was no talk of a moped or motorcycle. All car owners knew about the man's golden hands and always sought his advice and help. He loved fast driving, cars, motorcycles, music, and fishing. He had many friends. He dreamed of developing his family's homestead. During the full-scale war, the man fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a senior rifleman of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Koshovy Otaman Ivan Sirko. At first, he defended his native Kharkiv region, and then went east. During his service, he was awarded the President of Ukraine's decoration "For the Defense of Ukraine". "Roman (we all called him Romchyk, because he was the youngest in the family) took up the defense of Ukraine in the first days of the war, without waiting for the summons. He is a true patriot, a true Ukrainian. Honest, straightforward, with a clear position on truth and justice. A faithful friend and comrade. He always said: 'Everything will be fine!' " - said his older sister Alla Nikitina. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, his civilian wife, sisters, and daughter were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
