Roman Ya. Hrynchyshyn (Fortovyi)

Senior soldier Roman Hrynchyshyn (call sign Fortuna) died on November 15, 2023, during enemy shelling near the settlement of Shumy in the Donetsk region. The warrior remained forever 28 years old. Roman was born in the village of Knyazholuka, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the local general secondary school of grades I-III, and then entered the Stryi Higher Vocational School of Arts. He chose the specialty of electric gas welder and manual blacksmith. In his free time, he was engaged in sports. In civilian life, he traveled to Europe for construction work. During the full-scale invasion, he took up the defense of Ukraine, joining the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He held the position of squad commander. He was awarded the honorary badge "Golden Cross" and the medal "For the Defense of Bakhmut". The warrior was buried in the cemetery of his native village. Roman is survived by his parents.
