- 37-year-old Roman Pavlechko (call sign Tomka) in December 2022 ended up in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Dnipro. The warrior had many serious injuries. After treatment, he was discharged home. From there, he was admitted to a hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk. The fighter's condition improved and he was discharged. Roman regained a strong desire to live. He bought a tractor to work in the field after fully recovering, although he could barely walk to the field. Soon, his condition worsened again. After examinations, the man was operated on, but there was no improvement. On July 4, 2023, the defender, unfortunately, passed away. Roman was born in the village of Sloboda-Nebyliv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He grew up as an active boy, studying well. But his childhood ended quickly. At the age of 7, when his father was killed, the boy had to work to help his family. At the age of 16, he went abroad to work, and at 18, he began service in the Ukrainian army. He was a signaler first in Desna, then in Zhytomyr. After his service, he went abroad again. After the start of the full-scale invasion, on February 27, 2022, he volunteered to join the 10th separate mountain assault brigade "Edelweiss". He defended Ukraine in the Donetsk direction. "Dad was always kind, cheerful, sincere, funny, patient, brave, never complained, and wanted to take us with my brother to the sea," said his daughter Maria. Roman was buried in his native village. The defender left behind a mother, brother, sisters, a daughter, and a son. For his service, the defender was posthumously awarded the medal "Knight of the Combat Deed".Memory Platform 'Memorial'
