Biography
Barvinok Roman Yuriyovych was born on May 12, 1993 in Odesa. He spent his school years in Odesa. From the age of four, he was engaged in music, from the age of five - the violin, from the age of three - dancing. From the age of 7, he studied at a music school and conservatory. In the 6th grade, he transferred to the Odesa Special Secondary Music School named after P.S. Stolyarsky, in the class of teacher O.V. Pavlov. At the age of 16, he moved to Irpin and met UNA-UNSO, and at the age of 18 he officially joined the organization, although he had undergone training even before the official entry. Later, he entered the 3rd year of the Poltava Music College, but did not complete his studies. In 2012, he participated in the Language Maidan. He performed as part of the Sakartvelo ensemble on the stage of the Odesa Opera House. From 2014 to 2016, he devoted himself to his family, as he was about to become a father. His wife had health problems, and Roman could not risk the child. However, the family did not work out. But he supported close and family relations with his daughter and wife until the last. In 2016, he went to the military registration and enlistment office, but was not accepted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to poor eyesight. After that, Roman Barvinok joined the ranks of the UDA. In 2020, he joined the "Spring on Granite" action. At the end of May 2020, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and took the oath. Later he fought as part of the 503rd Separate Marine Infantry Battalion. He became a professional machine gunner, worked with DShK and NSV-12.7. After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine, Roman's father, Yuriy Oleksandrovych Barvinok, went to the front and, together with his son, began to defend Ukraine. On March 9, 2022, in the village of Zachativka in the Donetsk region, Roman Barvinok, covering the retreat of his comrades, was wounded. And then, when everyone left, he walked several kilometers to the medics, for which he received the Order of Courage of the III degree. He underwent treatment at the VMKC ZR, returned to the front, to the ranks of the 503rd Separate Marine Infantry Battalion. On June 2, 2022, his father, Yuriy Oleksandrovych Barvinok, was killed in the fighting. Roman Barvinok was killed on the morning of August 20, 2022 as a result of a direct hit of a shell in a dugout in the village of Pisky, Donetsk region. He was buried in Kyiv.Burial place
