Roman Yu. Martseniuk

Roman Yuriyovych Martsenyuk was born on May 27, 1992, in the village of Hrybovytsia, Volodymyr-Volynskyi district, Volyn region. He lived in the city of Novovolynsk. Following his brother's example, in January 2021, he signed a contract for military service, taking on the position of a tank gunner in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, he defended Kyiv region as part of a tank crew. On March 11, 2022, this crew destroyed several units of enemy armored vehicles in the village of Nalyvaikivka in Bucha district and effectively repelled enemy attacks in the direction of the settlement of Makariv. Unfortunately, during a heavy artillery bombardment, the T-64 tank was hit, and soldier Martsenyuk was killed in action. On March 15, 2022, Roman Martsenyuk was buried with honors in his native village.
