- Sergeant Roman Tsyhanskyi (call sign Tsyhan) was killed on February 18, 2023, in a hospital in Kyiv from multiple wounds sustained on January 7 in the battle for the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The defender underwent many operations, and one of the shrapnel fragments caused complications, and the fighter fell into a coma. He fought for his life for a long time, but the warrior's heart could not withstand it. In March, he would have turned 35 years old. Roman was born and lived in Lviv. He studied at school No. 64. Then he graduated from Lviv Higher Vocational School No. 20. He served his military service as part of the 80th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2014-2015, he participated in the ATO as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In peacetime, he was a bartender for a long time. Before the full-scale war, he worked at the Dymkom enterprise, which is engaged in the manufacture of chimney systems. With the beginning of the Russian invasion, the man took up arms again to protect his native country from the enemy. He served in the 125th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a squad commander. He carried out combat missions in the eastern direction. "Roman is the best friend, the soul of the company, a faithful comrade, a loving son and brother. A beloved husband and the best father of two little sparrows," said the wife of the fallen soldier, Khrystyna. The defender was buried in the Marso Field of the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
