Rostislav H. Lohvinenko (Yaha)

Soldier Rostislav Logvinenko (call sign Yaga) was killed on March 29, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. The life of the warrior was cut short by a bullet from an enemy sniper. The defender was forever 22 years old. Rostislav was born in the village of Petroostrov, Kirovohrad region. He lived in the village of Balakliia, Cherkasy region. He graduated from the Cherkasy Vocational Lyceum. He worked as a lineman at Ukrzaliznytsia. He loved to relax in nature. He always listened to music and sang songs. He rejoiced in every moment of life. He was engaged in athletics. He won prizes in competitions. During the full-scale war, in January 2023, the man was drafted into the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of gunner in the 81st separate airmobile brigade. "Rostislav was not like the others. Cheerful, he had big plans for the future... Responsible, honest and kind. He was loved and respected. Always smiling, his smile is etched in everyone's memory. Rostislav always lent a helping hand. We are proud of you, our dearest! His words were: 'Stand for your Rostislav there, until I stand for you here.' Our dearest, we will stand for you here, until you stood for us there," wrote the deceased's girlfriend Karina Fedorova. The paratrooper was buried in the village of Balakliia, Cherkasy region. Rostislav is survived by his parents, younger sister and beloved girlfriend.
