- Born on May 25, 1996, in the city of Novyi Rozdil, Lviv region. In 2012, he graduated from the 9th grade of general education school No. 5 in Novyi Rozdil, and in 2015 - from the Novorozdil Professional Lyceum of Construction and Household (in the city of Novyi Rozdil), obtaining the profession of "Automobile Repair Mechanic." In 2015, after completing his studies, he moved with his grandmother to the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. From January 2016, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the winter of 2016, he was a cadet at the 184th Training Center of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny (military unit A2615, village of Starychi, Yavoriv district, Lviv region). Since 2016, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He was a participant in the defense of the industrial zone of the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. In February 2017, as a result of an enemy mine explosion in the industrial zone of the city of Avdiivka, soldier Trukhansky sustained severe injuries to both lower limbs and shrapnel wounds to his entire body, with a penetrating abdominal injury. After the first aid provided to the serviceman on the spot, he was evacuated to a mobile hospital in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, from where he was transported by medical aviation to the intensive care unit of the I.I. Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital in the city of Dnipro. As a result of severe mine-explosive injuries, Rostyslav Trukhansky had both legs amputated and was connected to a mechanical ventilation device. The doctors made great efforts to save the soldier's life, but their efforts proved futile. On March 4, 2017, soldier Trukhansky died from his injuries. On March 7, 2017, he was buried in the city cemetery of Novyi Rozdil. He was an orphan. His grandmother, who raised him since childhood, remained.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
