Ruslan Anatoliyovych Zhivolup was born on March 18, 1997. With the start of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Sergeant of the tank company of the Azov OZSP NGU Ruslan Zhivolup, along with his combat comrades, defended the city of Mariupol in Donetsk region. The unit held the defense along Naberezhna Street, along which the Russian troops mainly advanced. From February 25 to March 12, 2022, the tankers of the company, including gunner Ruslan Zhivolup, heroically repelled 8 attempts to break through the defense. In incredibly difficult conditions, the "Azovians" managed to withstand during enemy shelling from barrel artillery and "Grad" rocket launchers. On March 19, 2022, Ruslan Zhivolup, along with the commander of the tank company, took their last battle in a tank that was already hit and could not move. However, they used the combat vehicle as a stationary firing point. Ultimately, the Russians managed to hit the "Azov" T-64 and destroy two fearless warriors.
