Ruslan H. Pikalov

Sergeant Major Ruslan Pikalov was killed on January 5, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kharkiv region. The defender was forever 46 years old. Ruslan was born in the village of Tritelnyky, Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from Volochysk Vocational School No. 5, where he obtained the profession of a mechanic. He was a private entrepreneur, engaged in the repair of chainsaws and brush cutters. He loved to take care of the apiary, was passionate about cold forging of metal and fishing. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the 3rd Separate Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ruslan performed his military duty clearly and responsibly, earning the respect of his comrades-in-arms. "He was an example for me. He taught me a lot in this life. Everything I can and know is thanks to him. After him, only good memories remain. So much time has passed, but it is still hard to believe that he is no longer there. Sometimes it seems that this is all a dream and soon he will call me and say that everything is fine," said the deceased's son Vitaliy. The soldier was buried in the Alley of Glory in the city of Khmilnyk. Ruslan is survived by his mother, wife, and two sons.
