Ruslan I. Ferentsi

Ferenczi Ruslan Ivanovych was born on November 22, 1981 in Uzhhorod, Zakarpattia. He studied and obtained secondary education at school No. 7 in Uzhhorod. He graduated from the Faculty of History and Law at UNU. He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity and an active public figure. In 2014-2017, during the 2nd and 6th waves of partial mobilization, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended Ukraine in the East and was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd degree. He was one of the heroes of the film "Battles for Promka. Loss" made by journalists of Hromadske TV. Despite the injuries and disability he received in the ATO zone, from the first days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he again joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a senior rifleman of the 4th airborne assault platoon of the 2nd airborne assault company of the 5th airborne assault battalion of the 80th Separate Airborne Brigade. He was wounded, but after treatment in the hospital, he returned to the front line. He was killed on June 10, 2022 in a battle with Russian invaders near the village of Bogorodychne, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region. He is survived by his parents, brother, and grandmother. He was buried at the Calvary Cemetery in Uzhhorod.
