- 44-year-old paratrooper Ruslan Tsaryuk (call sign Tsar) was killed on April 22, 2022 in the Kharkiv region during an artillery barrage. Ruslan was born in the village of Starosilci in the Zhytomyr region. He worked in the agricultural sector as a tractor operator. Then he worked in the stone processing industry. He was interested in technology and in his free time he went hunting. When the Russian-Ukrainian war started, the man went to defend the country and took part in the ATO. He received the medal "For the Defense of Mariupol". During the full-scale invasion, Ruslan returned to the army, taking the position of a platoon commander in the 95th separate airborne assault brigade. Together with his unit, Tsar defended the Kharkiv region from the Russian invaders. The hero's life was cut short near the village of Kurulka. "The best in the world. A patriot who did not remain aloof and went to defend the Motherland at the beginning of the war. He always said that slaves are not allowed into paradise, so he defended the interests of a free and independent Ukraine. He promised to return alive, despite everything, because a loving family was waiting for him. When she asked him not to go, since he had already fought, he replied: "Who, if not me? What will my guys tell me later? And you believe in me, and everything will be fine, because on our side is love," said the wife of the fallen warrior Svitlana Yakymchuk. Senior Sergeant Ruslan Tsaryuk was buried in his native village in the Zhytomyr region. At home, his wife and three children were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
