Ruslan M. Braslavskyi

Lieutenant Ruslan Braslavskyi (call sign Raccoon) was killed on June 25, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the village of Pryvilla in the Donetsk region. He graduated from the Nemyriv College of Construction and Architecture and the Odesa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Since 2003, he has worked in Khmilnyk, holding the position of chief specialist in the inter-farm department of capital construction - he devoted 20 years of his life to this work. He was passionate about fishing and cycling. uring the full-scale war, the man went to defend his home and family from the Russian invaders. He was the commander of an engineering and sapper platoon in the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. "Ruslan was a kind, intelligent, responsible, sincere person. Those who knew him say that his death was a great loss for everyone. Until his last breath, Ruslan was faithful to his comrades-in-arms and the state," said the hero's wife Svitlana. The officer was buried in Khmilnyk, Vinnytsia region. At home, he was awaited by his mother Liubov Vasylivna, wife Svitlana, daughter Viktoriia, and sister Tetiana. Ruslan Braslavskyi was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree, and he was also promoted to the rank of captain.
