Ruslan M. Potiomkin (Rul)

Marine Ruslan Potemkin (call sign Rul) died on July 27, 2023 near the village of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region during an enemy artillery barrage. Ruslan was 46 years old. He was born in the city of Blahovishchenske in the Kirovohrad region. In 1992, after graduating from the local secondary school No. 2, he entered the Uman Agrotechnical College. He obtained the specialty of a mechanic. In 1997, he began entrepreneurial activities in the field of trade, which he engaged in all his life. The man's hobbies were driving and welding. In the winter of 2023, Ruslan was mobilized. For two months, he underwent military training abroad, and later took part in battles in the Donetsk direction. He held the position of driver-mechanic in the airborne assault company of the 505th separate battalion of the 37th separate brigade of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He transported and picked up his comrades from the positions. "The father was an example of indomitability and steadfastness. Always smiling, positive, sociable and responsible," said Victoria Potemkina. Ruslan was buried in his hometown. He left behind his wife Yulia and daughter Victoria.
