Ruslan O. Bilyi

Senior soldier Ruslan Bilyi was killed on April 13, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 43 years old. Ruslan was born in the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. He received secondary specialized education. He lived in the Kharkiv region. He worked as a welder. He loved to spend his free time with his family. He took part in the ATO in Donbas. On the second day of the full-scale Russian invasion, on February 25, 2022, Ruslan again went to defend the peaceful future of his family and country. He joined the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 25th separate airborne Sich brigade. "Dad was a real man, he loved to laugh and joke. He was always positive and with a good sense of humor. Thanks to him, I fell in love with Star Wars. He loved animals, especially cats," said Veronika Bila, the warrior's daughter from his first marriage. The defender was buried in the village of Nyzhnia Ozeriana, Kharkiv region. Ruslan is survived by his mother, wife and two children.
