Ruslan O. Klymeniuk (Died)

Soldier Ruslan Klimeniuk (call sign Ded) was killed on March 22, 2023 near the village of Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. While on combat duty, the fighter received fatal injuries during enemy shelling. On February 25, the defender turned 25 years old. Ruslan was born in the village of Ulaniv, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from Ulaniv secondary school. He served in the military. Recently, he worked as a security guard in a private company. He had many dreams, planned to get married and start his own family, but did not have time. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Ruslan became a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought against the invaders in the ranks of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. He was an assistant grenadier. "Everyone speaks of Ruslan as an amazingly positive, always cheerful and smiling person. He couldn't get offended. For me, he was a good, caring son. We had shared secrets. He intended to engrave a tattoo with Shevchenko's words 'And on the renewed earth, there will be no enemy, but there will be a son and a mother, and there will be people on the earth' near his heart. He was a sincere patriot," said the warrior's mother Alla. The serviceman was buried in his native village. At home, Ruslan was awaited by his parents, brother, and fiancée.
