Ruslan O. Prudyus (Bes)

Soldier Ruslan Prudius (call sign Bis) died on February 7, 2023 in the Vuhledar area of Donetsk region. He was fatally wounded in combat with the enemy. The warrior was only 24 years old. Ruslan was a native of Novomyrhorod, Kirovohrad region. He studied at the professional college of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. He dreamed of becoming a famous footballer and played for the "Odna Rodyna" team (Novomyrhorod). He worked in various fields. With the start of the full-scale war, the man volunteered for the front. He fought in the ranks of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "My beloved was the best man, father, son, grandson and nephew! He defended us and all of Ukraine from the enemies. At the age of 24, Ruslan had gone to the front lines more than once, he was the commander of his group and brought the guys out of hell! He always went on a mission without hesitation. He said: 'I didn't come here to lie in the unit, I have to defend.' A few months before his death, he had a dream where Zelenskyy awarded him the Order of Hero of Ukraine, but I already perceived this dream as a warning. However, I could do nothing, his word was always behind him, he went there confidently, because he was a true warrior, a man and a faithful comrade," said Valeria Prudius. For 10 months, the soldier was considered missing, until a DNA examination confirmed his death. Ruslan was buried on December 14, 2023 in his hometown. He is survived by his mother, military father, brothers, wife and son.
