Ruslan O. Shymon (Rukha)

Soldier of the Territorial Defense Forces Ruslan Shimon (call sign Rukha) was killed on March 28, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Udi in the Kharkiv region. The defender received fatal injuries during a hostile drone attack. The warrior was 33 years old. Ruslan was born in the village of Volossyanka, Lviv region. He lived in the settlement of Manchenky, Kharkiv region. In civilian life, he worked as a molder of reinforced concrete products and structures. He was passionate about fishing and active recreation. During the full-scale war, Ruslan unhesitatingly defended the Motherland from the occupiers. He served in the 120th battalion of the 113th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of the anti-aircraft missile section. He took part in battles for the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. He was awarded the medal "For Courage in Battle". "He was and remains a bright, kind, faithful, sincere, compassionate, and courageous man who always came to help," say the fallen warrior's relatives and comrades-in-arms about him. The military was buried in the settlement of Manchenky in the Kharkiv region. At home, his parents and wife were waiting for Ruslan.
