Ruslan O. Viienko (Rozvidka)

Ruslan Vienko (call sign Rozvidka), a storm trooper, was killed on June 6, 2023, in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. During the enemy's artillery shelling, the fighter sustained injuries incompatible with life. In July, the defender would have turned 20 years old. Ruslan was born in the village of Mala Bilozirka, Zaporizhia region. After school, he obtained the profession of an electrician at the Zaporizhia Machine-Building Higher Vocational School No. 27. He had many plans for life and a future career, which were not destined to come true. The full-scale invasion changed everything for Ruslan. The young man, full of love for Ukraine, joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 5th separate assault brigade. He held the position of anti-aircraft gunner. Despite his young age, Ruslan bravely and courageously went into battle, having no pity for the enemy. "Until recently, he was a child, but at the age of 19, he was braver than many. Kind, sensitive. We are proud of you, Ruslan! You are a Hero of Ukraine. It hurts for you, you are so young and have was killed..." wrote the elder sister of the deceased, Taisia. The young defender was buried on the Alley of Glory of the Kushugum cemetery in Zaporizhia. At home, Ruslan was awaited by his mother, two sisters, and a niece.
