- Soldier Ruslan Dovhopolyi (call sign Dykyi) was killed on October 25, 2022, during a reconnaissance mission near the village of Nevske in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 35 years old. Ruslan was born and raised in the village of Mykil'ske, Luhansk region. He stuwas killed at the local school. He graduated from the Luhansk Construction Technical School of Transport Construction with a degree in "Exchange Activities". He worked as a driver. He loved to repair equipment. In his free time, he helped his parents with the household. During the full-scale war, Ruslan, in the ranks of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, defended his native Luhansk region from the occupiers. He served in reconnaissance, was a sniper. "As early as 2014, you clearly made it clear that the war would reach everyone. Your position was the only one: the Russians are evil, the Ukrainians are good. You knew everything, understood everything, tried to enlighten everyone, but we didn't listen. On February 24, 2022, our lives changed. For another 2 months, you will wait, try and achieve your goal: the military enlistment office, boots, the railway station, Britain, 3 months of training, a reconnaissance sniper of the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade. The first exit, the second... The third became the last... 35 years - still to live and live, but you chose your path back then, when the people of our village did not even think about it... Sitting in the garage, talking about the future, you knew that you would go..." - wrote the defender's sister Liudmyla. The serviceman was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Krasnopilskyi cemetery in Dnipro. Ruslan is survived by his parents, sister and nephews.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
