Ruslan P. Hryhor

Born on May 10, 1978, in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. In 1993, he graduated from the 9th grade of secondary school No. 14 (now the educational and training complex "First Bila Tserkva Gymnasium") in the city of Bila Tserkva, and in 1995, he graduated with honors from the Kyiv Military Lyceum (now named after Ivan Bohun). Since 1995, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 1999, he graduated from the Odesa Institute of Ground Forces. From July 29, 1999, he served in the military as the commander of a reconnaissance platoon, commander of the 7th mechanized company of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 72nd separate guards mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On October 29, 2014, Captain Hryhor was killed during a battle with an enemy reconnaissance and sabotage group while setting up an observation post in the area of the village of Petrivske, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region. Along with him, Senior Soldier Kalynovskyi and Soldier Avramenko were killed. On November 1, 2014, he was buried at the Alley of Glory in the "Sukhyi Yar" cemetery in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region.
