Ruslan R. Kotvitskyi

Born on June 22, 1977, in the village of Ivanivshchyna, Dzerzhynskyi (since 2003 - Romanivskyi) district of Zhytomyr region. Since the 1980s, he lived in the village of Karvynivka, Dzerzhynskyi (now - Romanivskyi) district. In 1994, he graduated from the general education school in the village of Karvynivka. Since the 1990s, he lived and worked in the city of Zhytomyr. On March 11, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a sanitary instructor in the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0536 (field post V0927), in the cities of Sievierodonetsk/Lysychansk, Luhansk region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On October 24, 2015, soldier Ruslan Kotvytskyi died while on duty in the area of the urban-type settlement of Verkhnotoretske, Yasynuvata district, Donetsk region. On October 30, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Karvynivka, Romanivskyi district, Zhytomyr region.
