Ruslan S. Hirzheu

Born on April 10, 1994, in the village of Desantne, Kiliya District, Odesa Region. Lived in the village of Novomykolaivka, Kiliya District, Odesa Region. Graduated from the general education school in the village of Desantne. Studied to become an agronomist. In 2012-2013, he served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (A1126, the urban-type settlement of Hvardiyiske, Novomoskovsk District, Dnipropetrovsk Region). Since 2013, he continued military service under contract as a mechanic-driver of the parachute-airborne section of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On May 16, 2014, he died in the area of the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk Region, as a result of an accident, receiving a penetrating gunshot wound to the chest. On May 18, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Novomykolaivka, Kiliya District, Odesa Region.
