- 35-year-old junior sergeant Ruslan Lysenko (call sign Said) was killed on March 10, 2023 near the settlement of Yampil in the Donetsk region. The fighter received fatal shrapnel wounds while pulling out a wounded comrade. Ruslan was born and lived in Kyiv. He graduated from school No. 63. He obtained a higher education in the specialty "Management" at the Ukrainian Academy of Business and Entrepreneurship. In civilian life, he worked as a manager, previously for a long time he was an employee of the McDonald's company. He adored an active lifestyle, traveled almost all of Ukraine by bicycle, and had over 100 parachute jumps. In 2014-2016, he participated in the ATO as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man took up arms again and stood up to defend his country from the enemy. He joined the ranks of the 244th separate battalion of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of the grenade launcher unit. At first, he defended his native Kyiv and the region, and then went to other hot spots of the front. "Ruslan was my brother and comrade. He was a person who was to build the future of Ukraine. He gave his life for what we believed in," said a fighter with the call sign Shulga. The defender was buried at the Berkovetsky cemetery in Kyiv.
