- Senior Sergeant Ruslan Lushchevsky (call sign Greek) was killed on May 12, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Masyutivka in the Kharkiv region. The enemy artillery bombardment cut short the warrior's life. The defender was forever 43 years old. Ruslan was born in the village of Nova Lyubomyrka, Rivne region. He lived in the village of Kamyana Hora. After school, he obtained the profession of a driver-expeditor at the Rivne Vocational and Technical School No. 1. He worked in his specialty at the private enterprise "Avtotranscom". During the full-scale war, in September 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He held the position of combat vehicle commander. During his service, he was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's distinction "Golden Cross". "Ruslan was a man of his word, devoted to his family, friends, and relatives, and always came to help. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he could not sit quietly and rushed into battle. According to his comrades-in-arms, he was intelligent and courageous, the best commander," said the deceased's sister, Anastasia Lyakhovych. The serviceman was buried in the village of Kamyana Hora, Rivne region.
