Ruslan V. Maidannyk (Rukha)

Military serviceman Ruslan Maydannik died in the hospital on June 24, 2022, from injuries sustained the day before while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv region. The defender was forever 25 years old. Ruslan was born in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the local school No. 94. He was a well-known fan in the city from the association "Only Kryvbas". Friends describe him as the soul of the company and a person with whom they traveled across Ukraine and Europe for the football team. He was fond of music, played the drums. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Ruslan joined the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Ivan Sirko and defended Ukraine until the end. "We miss you, our boy! Heroes live as long as the memory of them lives. You are forever in our hearts. There will never be anyone like you," said his friend Yulia. The defender was buried in his native Kryvyi Rih. Ruslan's parents and younger brother remain. Senior soldier Ruslan Maydannik was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.
